They both can help: But neither are a long term answers. If you are only planning on using it very short term, you may consider alternating and staggering them to help cover the pain until you see your doc for a better treatment plan long term. Hope that helps!

Both are mild: Analgesics and aleve, or naproxen, is also an anti inflammatory. Either will help your pain, but you should consult a neurologist or orthopedic surgeon to correct the underlying cause.
