Bladder cancer : Your pain could be from something as simple as muscle strain or an upper urinary tract infection. But with a history of bladder cancer you certainly need to be checked out by a physician as soon as possible.

Kidney blockage: Bladder cancer can grow to block your kidneys; this can be a very serious issue so you need to get checked out; an u/s to check your kidneys is cheaper than a ct scan but less info.
