It is time: It is time to put this panic to rest. Your symptoms are 100% not HIV infection. You have been told this now graciously and at no cost to you several times. This panic you are having is only going to hurt you. You have been taught thoroughly that HIV does not cause symptoms in most people. If there are symptoms it is between 14 to 21 days after exposure and represents a rash and flu like symptom.

Should not: The first thing you should investigate with a painful wrist is a sprain. If trauma was involved seek medical attention to get an exam ; x-ray. Hiv has many symptoms but not necessarily a painful wrist.

Not generally: Acute HIV syndrome can include joint pains but it is seldom if ever limited to a single joint. If you have had a potential exposure to HIV would strongly suggest that you go and be tested. Good luck.

May be: Hiv has many symptoms by wrist hurting is not specific to hiv. If you have any concerns about being HIV positive, please see your doctor. Note that there are effective treatments for HIV but it would depend on your initiative to see a doctor for the test. If you do not wish to do that, you may buy a kit from a pharmacy and mail the sample for confidential testing.
