See your doctor: Hi, yes it could be a virus. As it has been going on for about 7 days i would consult with your paediatrician. Usually virus related gastroenteritis are self limited and resolve within 36-48 hrs. The odd case may persist for a bit longer than that, but she needs to see a physician for further work up. In the meantime please keep her well hydrated.

Diarrhea: A viral infection is the most common cause in children. 7-10 days, is not unusual. In the absence of fever, bloody stools, and weakness there is nothing to worry. If child continues to have, loose bm , and also develops abdominal pain, weight loss, and rectal bleeding, do consult your pediatrician. Avoid dairy products, and juices until she is better.
