A member asked:

If i do have pcos what will happen to treat it ?will i become infertile?if they give me medicine will my excessive hair leave?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A few ideas : Pcos is best treated with exercise (weight loss if necessary to get to bmi of 25 or less), low carb diet, possibly metformin. Sometimes women with pcos have increased risk for infertility, but if they follow their doctors instructions and are at a healthy weight that will greatly increase their chances. Excess hair does often times diminish as well when pcos properly treated.
