Hematologist: While these signs and symptoms could be related to a mild infection including a common viral illness, if the symptoms have been persistent i recommend that you see a hematologist. You likely need a history of physical and possibly blood tests to rule out a severe underlying disorder. In rare cases these symptoms could represent lymphoma or leukemia so i recommend that medical treatment not be delayed.

Biopsy a node.: Has a lymph node been biopsied and cultured? If not that is a consideration. Speak with your doctor and ask if a biopsy is indicated.
