Stay away : Mumps is a highly contagious disease . A person who is infected with mumps will feel tired and pain in the jaws due to the swelling of the salivary glands .. Also will get fever .. In some extreme cases in mails the pain could be under the testicles .. A person with mumps should stay away from the rest of the family or not in close contacts for at least 5 days after the swelling of the glands
