Swollen parotid glan: Mumps in adults causes fever, headache, weakness or fatigue, loss of appetite, pain while eating or chewing and most important swelling of one or both sides of face(parotid glands)symptoms usually start 12to25days after infection. It does not cause period pains or swollen ovaries and other swollen glands.

You have them: You have the symptoms of mumps. The infection is of the salivary glands and can include ovaries and other sites. The timing is usually 2 to 2 1/2 weeks after exposure, which fits your case. You should see the doctor to be tested. Other viruses can cause the same symptoms as mumps.
