Probably not...: Increased use of us or ct to evaluate body pain had led to finding small asymptomatic stone or mass in kidneys, lungs, liver, etc. Which is incidental and poses substantial dilemma on how to handle these subclinical findings. For kidney stone of 3 mm, i would leave it alone if you have no stone-related symptoms., but followed yearly with a x-ray film (kub). More detailing, work with urologist.
