What else can look like lots of small kidney stones in ultrasound?

Calcifications: Calcifications in blood vessels can sometimes look like kidney stones. If your doctors are unclear about whether or not you have kidney stones they may want to do a CT scan which is a better test than US for detecting and diagnosing kidney stones.
