Loss of consciousnes: A concussion is a disturbance of the awareness and functioning of the aleart brain. Though it may be hard to define or test that functioning like you would an adult or conversational child, we assume that any infant who has lost awareness for any period to have had some degree of concussion.A call to your dr to review the specifics can define when/where baby should be evaluated.

Difficlt: In the absence of loss of consciousness the diagnosis depends on features such as bulging fontanel, vomiting, difficulty feeding, excessive sleeping. If an infant under 1 year of age has a significant fall, a CAT scan is recommended.
