Diabetes risk: Obesity, sedentary lifestyle, family history, and a diet composed of simple sugars are all risk factors for t2dm. The statin issue is controversial; if statins increase your risk, it is miniscule, and statins save a lot of lives from heart disease. Please do not stop the Atorvastatin and continue to drink soda because of a fear of diabetes. Learn to like diet soda; or drink water.
