Why?: Most hernia surgery over the past 10 or more years use mesh. Ultrasound will likely only see scar tissue ; would not be expected to see if there is mesh. Contact your surgeon or the surgical facility to get a copy of your operative report to see what was done. Why do you need to know if mesh was used?
