Jerem: Popping joints may be a normal thing for many. Pain is not, swollen nodes is not, i don't think they are related to pipe or drink, go have yourselves checked for other possibilities, good luck!

See your doctor: There are only a couple of conditions in which alcohol can exacerbate the feeling of sore throat or salivary gland inflammation, but not swollen lymph nodes. So you want to have this checked out by your doctor soon. Also if you have any food allergies to the sulfites and food additives like histamine in wines, or some alcoholic beverages, you may react similarly in having nasal congestion. In either case, you don't sound like you're feeling well, so call your doctor soon.

Swelling of glands: I Agree with Dr. Iwata's comments. Hodgkin's lymphoma can present with neck lymph glands becoming uncomfortable after drinking alcohol. It's important that you have a full medical checkup.
