Narcolepsy: Cataplexy can be present with narcolepsy in approximately 30 per cent of cases.. One could be overcome by feelings of weakness and feel faint. I am pleased that you have a doctor' s appointment scheduled. I hope it is soon and with a neurologist.

See below: Cataplexy is usually a quick ; brief episode of muscle weakness without loss of awareness that is usually brought on by emotions such as laughing. In some people it's profound causing extensive muscle weakness in the head, neck, ; extremities, while in others it can be subtle w/ just minimal weakness such as buckling at the knees. It is good you're following this up w/ your physician to manage it.
