Great Question!: What a great query. Patients with narcolepsy/cataplexy usually have to seek jobs with very flexible schedules. Many of these patients require naps or rest during the day and an understanding employer. This really means that narcolepsy patients can do any job but must have flexibility!

Sure: Usually we can control daytime sleepiness and cataplexy with meds. Most narcoleptics don't need disability. I wouldn't suggest truck driving etc. I have a doc with narcolepsy as a patient.
