A member asked:

My 16 months old twin girls hate to go to doctor's office whenever there's a routine check up. how can i make them relax?

It will pass: This is the age where kids believe you should be their servant and do anything they want, including not taking them where they may get shots, etc. If it is time for their check up tell them they are going and ignore any protests. Offer an incentive for cooperating if you want, but do not negotiate.Within a year they will settle into a more accepting pattern. This is a normal stage for kids.
