Local physician stopped me from starting running being me weighing 110kg saying it may damage my knees. how could i then lose fat n weight?

Lose weight: True, running would be really hard on your knees, so you should do low impact cardio exercise. That means things like the elliptical machine, stair master, stationary bike. You have to do it hard enough to get your heart rate up to goal (probably 120-150 beats per minute) and keep it there for 30 minutes, and do this 3-5 times a week.

Diet,Non-WB exercise: I believe a healthy diet is the most important factor in losing weight but exercise also helps.You can do non-weight-bearing exercises like swimming or biking.
