Pulmonary emboli: A d dimer test may be elevated due to a number of conditions including pulmonary emboli. I would suggest checking with your doctor for follow up and determining the normal d dimer range for your test. One aspect of diagnosing pe is a history and physical exam which may lead to clinical suspicion of the diagnosis.
