Make sure it's iPad : Neck and shoulder pain can come from many causes, so you need to have this checked out by your doctor. Depending on your posture, amount of time spent using your ipad, and what tends to aggregate the pain will determine if it's causing it, or exacerbating it (making it worse). Anything overdone (overuse syndrome) by overdoing it with bad posture can make the neck or shoulder worse.
