Possibly: Some symptoms take years to appear. If you are excessively sleepy, experience muscle weakness related to strong emotion (cataplexy) , sleep paralysis or hallucinations with sleep onset, you should see your doctor for further evaluation. You don't need to have all of the symptoms to begin an evaluation.
