Laser: Both surgical methods can be successful to correct the tongue tie. However, laser surgery does not involve sutures and heals quickly with little discomfort. Make sure to exercise or stretch the tongue during the healing period. It will gain some movement and have less restrictions.

Laser: Laser will usually cauterize as it cuts - more sterile, less bleeding, less swelling, less discomfort afterwards. Should apply barrier such as petroleum jelly to incision to prevent reattachment.
