Not expected: This does not affect the uterus but if you are pregnant, you are more at risk of premature birth if this has gone untreated. Be sure to stop douching and get the proper treatment.

Endometritis: There is no set time for vaginosis to spread to the uterus. When the uterus is infected, fever, lower abdominal pain and worsening discharge are common symptoms.
