Tapering too fast.: They call these symptoms "discontinuation syndrome". You may have tapered off too abruptly. Depending on how long and how much dosage you have had, the tapering will take a few weeks. As you cut the dosage back and you experience symptoms like you have , go back to the previous dosage then slowly decrease until the lowest dose is achieved, keep on this lowest dosage for a week, then stop.

Sorry: Based on a study conducted at thomas jefferson university, short-term exposure to ssris was sufficient to change structures of nerve fibers, and these changes are not reversible. The data was collected from rats but it will be very implicative when it comes to human. Consult your pcp and get some symptom relieving measures.
