Maybe: Recently, fluoroquinolones (class of drug that includes ciprofloxacin) has been associated with tendinitis/tendonopathy. Best advice is to consult your prescribing md and request another antibiotic if one is still necessary. The exact mechanism of the problem remains a conundrum.
