Scar Potions: There are many claims of scar reduction by various creams and oil. Any nonirritating moisturizer can help. Topical silicone gel sheeting, adherent silicone gels (kelocote, biocorneum) have good scientific evidence behind them. Vaseline is also good. In fact, when vaseline is compared to mederma, vaseline is not only cheaper it is more effective.
