Over time: If it is a lot it can damage kidneys . If your kidneys are normal to start with a high protein diet for a short while is probably ok.

Most people never do: To much is more than 2 grams of protein, after which there is no exercise1 benefit. But unless you have kidney or liver disease, slightly more won't hurt. However, why? The MDR is 50 or 55 grams per day. But how much you need is based on body size. Twice the MDR is alomst always reasonable
