Multiple causes, but: Both things you mentioned can certainly be related. While rare, hypothyroidism can be related to a polyneuropathy such as this. Neck pain related to cervical spinal stenosis can also cause this sort of pain, as well the possibility of multiple root irritation in the cervical spine. It also could be related to vitamin deficiency, bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome or diabetic neuropathy.
