I underwent a subtalar fusion on left foot on nov. 21, 2013. 3 months now and walking in normal runners it pains. how long b4 i get to normal activity?

Give it another: Couple months, but after a subtalar fusion, you run the risk of long term pain issues and developing arthritis in other joints in your foot and even in your knee. Discuss with your doc the need for physical therapy as well as corrective footwear. Hope that helps.

A lot of healing: This is a significant procedure and the fact that you are able to walk is fantastic. There is quite a bit of bone healing going on, not to mention the implanted pins/screws required to fixate the bone position. Healing for such a procedure could take a good year. It could be some months before the impact and force of running allows for no pain. Consulting with your surgeon is the best.
