Reduce inflammation: The bleeding is due to inflammation so measures to reduce inflammation will help- while drugs can help, so can herbs like boswellia. Many with colitis are helped by a low fodmaps diet- see http://abt.Cm/16tmrig ; http://bit.Ly/1kh4sjs imbalances of intestinal flora ; parasites are common in those with colitis.Antimicrobial herbs ; probiotics can help. I advise you consult a holistic practitioner.
