Best to ask your M.D: Usually i let the patient shower using cetaphil soap ( very gentle) the next day after c02 laser. They then apply an ointment (aquaphor) to cover the area. They wash their face every 3 hours and reapply the ointment however, I have never performed laser treatment on the back region so you must ask your doctor.

Wetting lasered skin: Ideally, you should be asking this of your doctor who did your procedure. Everyone has different protocols following laser. If you were my patient, you would have received instructions on when you could shower (24 hours later) and that you should avoid hot water and any kind of vigorous scrubbing of the area. Ointments are applied to keep the skin from drying out until your skin is healed.
