Probably: If you have been diagnosed with gum disease and fail to treat it then it will most likely spread to all areas of your mouth where teeth are present. Although there is no easy cure, treatment can help to control it. Just know that it requires a lot of effort on your part with excellent oral hygiene and regular visits to a dentist, hygienist, or periodontist.

It can: Gum disease is generally localized to specific teeth or regions of the mouth but if it becomes severe it can spread to the whole mouth.
