Gum papilla: It could be infected, it could be inflamed, or it could be normal. There is no way to make an accurate diagnosis without a visual and clinical exam. Make an appointment with your dentist to have it checked.

Inflammation: Only a dentist who can personally examine you can confirm the diagnosis of inflammation. Regardless you should be see to get a definite diagnosis and treatment recommendations. May require nothing more than better plaque control, tooth brushing and flossing. But it could also be more serious or something else.
