A member asked:

Is there any ssri that doesn't have a bad impact on stomach or sleep, had to discontinue its use due stomach pain caused by it?

Good and bad: Regarding sleep, if by bad, you mean less, then all ssri antidepressants can potentially negatively impact (limit) sleep upon initiation. This effect is transient and with time, the underlying mental health condition (which may be the cause of the insomnia) is treated thus restoring sleep. Paxil (paroxetine) may have less of a negative impact. All ssris can cause stomach upset initially.

Yes, : Luvox and zoloft (sertraline) are more likely to cause gastrointestinal upset, including stomach irritation, nausea, and diarrhea. Usually this last few days then it disappears. Trazadome tends to be mild has less impact, helps for sleep and fewer side effects.
