Food allergy: Allergy to these two foods is rare in my experience; they are well tolerated as first foods by the vast majority of infants older than 6 months. Symptoms of allergy could include vomiting, crampy diarrhea and occasionally a flare -up of pre-existing eczema. Anemia and failure to gain weight/height could indicate coeliac syndrome.
