None at all: The optimal blood level of vit d is 50-70. Most adults need 5000-8000 iu/day to achieve these levels. While vit d can be toxic, toxicity is virtually unheard of with doses below 40, 000 iu/day. 4000 iu is totally safe with no potential for toxicity.
