PFTs: Pulmonary function testing will help to determine whether or not your lung function is in a proper range or not. Cough is a nonspecific finding that may be associated with an asthma exacerbation, but there are many other causes.

88 year old with Asthma and COPD was given a duoneb jet nebulizer treatment, prior to tx, crackles in the left lung field, clear on the right, after treatment , audible expiratory wheezing and upper airway(nasal) wheezing. Why is there wheezing ?

I have severe allergies causing debilitating nasal and sinus symptoms, but no asthma. All typical treatments have failed: anti-h1's, steroid sprays, shots. I would like to ask for Xolair and am willing to pay for it. Is this a reasonable request?
