Bite your tongue?: Biting your tongue can create a mouth sore which would very likely result in the pain your describing. Sensitivity to food , medication, or even new toothpaste /rinse could create swelling that would be sensitive to food or drink. Things to avoid spicy foods along with soda, sports drinks, and juices which are acidic and will aggravate the pain. Give it 1 week .Skin tags under tongue normal.

Did you...: ...Bite it, burn it, scrape it, cut it? Do you have any damaged teeth or fillings? Do you have any infections, systemic diseases, growths, white spots, red spots, or anything else unusual? Please see a dentist, oral surgeon, or ENT for a proper examination.

Frenum: The symptoms may be related to a few things. Did you burn your tongue eating hot pizza, a hot potato or something similar to those? Or, considering your age (the same as my son), were you spending too much time kissing last night? To alleviate your pain, i recommend that you rinse your mouth frequently today with warm salt water and have your parent schedule an appointment with your dds asap!

Many causes???: Hard to determine without a thorough history and exam. Has this occurred before. Meds, supplements, trauma, etc., may cause. If in doubt and if it persists, see a dr. And/or a dentist.
