Without seeing a : Little difficult. Could be related to a nail infection but if you live in a cold weather climate you may have something called pernio, or chilblains. Best to visit a foot doc in person so they could examine. Good luck. (if its the latter, your feet are likely cold to touch.).

Irritation/infection: The most common cause of redness and pain at the tip of the toe is due to the toe nail cutting into the skin causing a localized abscess. Irritation of the toe can occur with various shoes as well. If the toe is rubbing against the end of the shoe it can cause pain, discomfort and redness.
