Hydration: Sometimes when women are dehydrated their afi can be lower. Typically if a woman hydrates and the afi is still low, then it's not due to hydration, but rather a placental dysfunction. If you have high blood pressure, for instance, this can cause low fluid. Make sure your doctor is keeping a close eye on your fluid and follow his/her instructions. In meantime, drink plenty of water! good luck!
