When parathyroid is normal and one enters menopause...does calcium rise?is there risk of parathyroidism? what is the relation of calcium to menopause?

Parathyroid: There is nothing about menopause (loss of estrogen) that affect the parathyroid. With menopause, you start to lose bone faster, and get osteoporosis. Blood ca does not rise because the loss of bone ca is very gradual. An elevated ca may suggest hyperparathyroidism, or many other causes. See your doctor for further work up.
