A lot: Cancer is the product to heredity and environment. Only a minority of the smokers develop lung dancer and this variability is in all likelihood due to genetics. There are other cancers that are more directly due to inherited traits, e.B., retinoblastoma, colon cancer due to more than one genetic defect. However, in many instances the role of heredity can be modified.
