A member asked:

My wife is 6 week pregnant. is it safe to use betametgasone&zinc skin cream? its was given for an insect bite on a small spot near check.

Yes: In general, creams and lotions applied to the skin are safe during all phases of pregnancy. There are a few that might be compounded with skin penetrating chemicals like dimethyl sulfoxide that i would avoid unless cleared by your doc. These are uncommon rarely used and not available over the counter in most areas.
