A member asked:

Can i use the galactose in my body to workout?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Workout: You do not store galactose in your body. You can store glucose, and it gets stored as glycogen, a form of starch. Galactose is a simple sugar, like glucose, and when combined with glucose, forms lactose, the sugar in milk. When you drink milk, it is broken down into those two sugars, and galactose is converted to glucose as well.
