Please provide some do's and don'ts on dealing with folliculitis.

Ignore: Folliculitis may occur with exposure to unclean water (i.e. hot tubs, lakes, rivers, or oceans).

Ignore: Clean your skin and do not pick at the hair follicle.

Ignore: Don't stop antibiotics until you finish the course, even after folliculitis is treated.

Ignore: Do exfoliate, wash with aha such as glycolic acid cleanser. Do have laser hair removal if recurring.

Ignore: Do stay clean with soaps. Don't use dirty razors when shaving. Do see the doctor if infected.

Ignore: Using Phisoderm to lather your skin before going to bed and rinsing off in the morning once a week.

Ignore: Showering prior to shaving helps to soften the hair follicles, avoiding too close a shave decreases.

Ignore: Avoid folliculitis by using a liquid soap rather than a bar soap, and change your razor head often.

Ignore: Oftentimes it needs antibiotics so get it checked out.

Ignore: Soaking with Domeboro for 15 minutes 3 times a day really helps.

Ignore: Avoid shaving in areas you have been prone to develop inflammation and/or infection.

Ignore: Avoid regular use of caustic cleansers and antimicrobial soaps. Can promote resistant infections.

Ignore: Do avoid tight-fitting clothes. Do see your doctor for possible antibiotics. Don't get in hot tub.

Ignore: Keep area clean, dry, use mild soap, water, gentle squeeze ok in shower, avoid sugar, not ok see doc.

Ignore: Clean, Dry, and Sterile x 2 Wash with soap. Dry thoroughly. Sterilize with alcohol. Twice a day!
