Ignore: Garlging with warm salt water works better than many prescriptions. Aleve (naproxen) and Ibuprofen also help.

Sore throat: Most sore throats are viral. No antibiotics indicated. Should improve after 4-5 days. No alcohol, no smoking, no irritating acidic foods. Anesthetic lozenges can help. Gargle with half tsp of salt in 8oz of lukewarm water. If hav severe swallowing problem or note white patches on tonsils. see LMD or ENT.
