Exudates: in the back of your throat you might see white pockets of pus or exudates. These are the lymph nodes end result of the viral or bacterial infection. Best to gargle salt water to help remove the exudate. The removal will then show a blister like new area. Take tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for pain. If you feel worse or fevers then see your doctor.
