Please provide some do's and don'ts on dealing with a nose bleed.

Ignore: Pinch together the soft part of the nose for five minutes and lean your head forwards, not back.

Ignore: Do not stick anything up your nose or tilt head or use i've. A nose clip for 10 minutes will work.

Do: Do lean forwards when applying pressure to your nose to stop a nose bleed.

Ignore: Sit down, head straight, pinch nose at the bottom and icepacks over the bridge of the nose-20 min.

Ignore: Apply pressure to the bridge of nose. Don't blow. Avoid blood thinning agents like aspirin/NSAIDS.

Ignore: Most of the time is not life threatening. Keep calm and seek advise.

Ignore: Don't pinch the bone. Blow first. Pinch soft part hold for 5 min, no peeking. Do not clot away.

Ignore: Afrin nasal spray can constrict blood vessels in the nose and help stop nosebleeds.

Ignore: During a nose bleed, sit up, and keep the nose pinched for 10 minutes, no peeking!

Ignore: If from dry air/allergies, moisturize nostrils daily with vaseline on a Q-tip.

Ignore: DO spray Afrin (oxymetazoline) in the nose. DON'T lean backwards. DO squeeze the lower nose tightly for 10 minutes.

Ignore: Pinch your nose at the tip from both sides. Ice pack to the neck, hold for ten minutes.

Ignore: Hold pressure against the nose for 5 minutes in attempt to get the bleeding to stop.

Pinch: Pinch soft nose (not bone) 5+ minutes. Head forward to not swallow blood. Afrin (oxymetazoline) constricts vessels.

Ignore: Don't hold at the bridge. Do hold by the tip to stop the bleeding. Do use nasal saline spray/gel.

Ignore: Ice on the back of your neck or forehead will help decrease the bleeding.

Ignore: Blow lightly to get clots out; pinch nostrils together for 8 minutes; apply saline nasal gel; repeat.

Ignore: The best position is sitting up straight with the head tilted slightly forward, not back!
