Depends: With hospice, dnr and end stage liver issue the person you describe may be elderly and or have several additional medical co-morbidities. There may not be treatment or expectation of recovery. Grief counseling, family meetings to discuss end of life issues may be helpful. Okay to ask your doc for the prognosis. Be well.
