Somatization: The creation of organic symptoms for psychologic causes should not be a diagnosis until all possible medical illnesses have been excluded, and only then, if it is suspected that this is somatization you should be referred to a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist for further evaluation. Sounds like you might see a general internist or family physician who is open minded.
